Emu Tracks can provide for your festival or event Aboriginal artists and components in:

Yinnar Yunga Traditional Dance and Song.
The traditional dances and ceremony presented are representations of Dreamtime legends and ceremony. The Dreamtime legends of Australian Aboriginal people tell of the era of creation when the world and all the features of the land were formed by Ancestral Beings. These Ancestral Beings sometimes assumed animal or human form or appeared as forces of nature. They interacted with one another and left their distinctive tracks in the form of hills, rivers, water holes and other features of the landscape, wherever they travelled. Ancestral Beings also established laws for human interaction and proper conduct in Aboriginal society. Stories of the Ancestors have been passed down for countless generations in song and dance. Dance styles vary across Australia, and is a telling example of the diversity in traditional Aboriginal culture.

Contemporary Music.
Contemporary Aboriginal music almost defies categorisation, as Aboriginal artist embrace genres and put their own special stamp and Aboriginal perspective on it, as witnessed when hearing performances by world famous artists such as Yotha Yindi, Tiddas, Archie Roach, Troy Cassar-Dayley and others. Dreamtime Storytellers, Oral Historians Authors and Poets. .
Without written language's Aboriginal people are great exponents of oral history and story telling. Through the Dreamtime stories we pass down history and culture, laws and lore, lessons on looking after the land and survival. Some of these stories are over 60 000 years old and told with flair, at times humour other times seriousness and are always enthralling. With the impact of colonisation oral history is even more important. There are many gifted speakers amongst Aboriginal Australia who can present topics on a huge array of issues including; impact of colonisation, health, government policies and their impact on Aboriginal people, Reconciliation, Land Rights, Stolen Children etc.

Since 1914 Aboriginal authors have been published, with many authors receiving national and international attention and awards. Authors and poets are the scribes of the communities and Aboriginal authors are no different.
